Kashiwa-no-ha Urban Development is one of metropolitan Tokyo’s most ambitious development projects. The project is a showcase of cutting-edge, sustainable design and technology focused on reducing energy consumption and environmental impact; improving resiliency from natural disasters; creating a robust local economy by integrating university and research institutions as well as business incubation facilities; and improving the health and well-being of workers and residents. Mitsui Fudosan actively participated in a wide range of projects at Kashiwa-no-ha, including installing renewable energy and area-wide energy management systems, optimizing the built environment for energy efficiency and sustainability, and designing facilities to promote health and a greater sense of community.
